Charles Schuck III
FOUNDER
Charles Schuck III is the Founder of Unhoused Homies, a Minnesota-based nonprofit that uses simple acts of kindness—starting with clean socks—to bring dignity, visibility, and real support to people living unhoused.
With a background in technology and community-focused projects, Charles built Unhoused Homies around a simple idea: everyone deserves to feel seen. What started as handing out socks on the street has grown into a social-media-powered, pay-it-forward movement where supporters buy socks online, give a pair away in person, and share those moments to inspire others to do the same.
Charles is intentional about how help is given. Unhoused Homies doesn’t just drop donations and disappear—it listens, tells real stories in people’s own words, and uses video and social platforms to show the human side of homelessness, not just the statistics. Under his leadership, the organization focuses on practical essentials like socks, hats, gloves, and small comfort items, while also pushing for more awareness, empathy, and community responsibility.
Driven, direct, and solution-focused, Charles is building Unhoused Homies into a movement where everyday people can get involved, show up in their own communities, and turn small gestures into lasting impact—one pair of socks at a time.
