Meet the Unhoused Homies Team
Unhoused Homies is powered by a small, scrappy team of people who refuse to look away from homelessness in our communities. We’re organizers, creatives, outreach workers, and lived-experience leaders who believe something as simple as a clean, warm pair of socks can carry a lot of dignity, comfort, and hope.
From planning street outreach to packing sock bundles and sharing real stories online, our team works together to turn everyday support into real impact for our unhoused neighbors across Minnesota.
How We Work
Our team is built around a few simple ideas:
Lead with respect
Every interaction starts with listening. We meet people where they are—on the street, in encampments, in shelters—and treat every person like a neighbor, not a “case.”
Keep it human and real
We use social media and storytelling to show what homelessness actually looks like, without filters or judgment. When we share videos, photos, or updates, it’s to build understanding and connection—not pity
Turn support into action
For every pair of socks you buy, a matching pair is donated to someone experiencing homelessness. Our team coordinates the logistics behind that simple promise—ordering, sorting, packing, and hand-delivering socks where they’re needed most.
Bridge the gap between donors and the streets.
Our staff and volunteers work with donors, community partners, and local organizations to move resources quickly and transparently, so people can see how their support shows up in real life.
